Im Deutschen werden einigen der Vögel bestimmte Eigenschaften nachgesagt bzw. zugeschrieben, die sich auch in Redewendungen und Märchen wiederspiegeln.
(1) Elster = "die diebische Elster", weil sie angeblich gerne funkelnde Gegenstände, z.B. Schmuck, klaut. So kann man auch einen Menschen nennen.
(2) Adler = Er gilt als sehr intelligent und hat besonders gute Augen. Deshalb sagt man auch zu jemandem, der besonders gut sehen kann, er habe "Adleraugen"
(3) Pfau = sehr schön, aber arrogant. Über einen arroganten Menschen sagt man, er "stolziere herum wie ein Pfau". Allerdings hört man meistens, er "stolziere herum wie ein (aufgeblasener) Gockel". Ein Gockel ist ein männliches Huhn.
(4) Eule = sehr intelligent
(5) Falke = sehr schnell, flink.
(6) Rabe = bringt Unglück. Er symbolisiert den Tod und das Unglück. In Märchen gitb es dort, wo viele Raben sind, meistens wenige Menschen.
(7) Taube = An sich hat sie keine Bedeutung, glaube ich. Nur als weiße Taube gilt sie als "Friedenstaube".
(1)Saksağan: Hırsız olduğuna dair rivayetler vardır.
(2)Kartal: Keskin gözleri vardır. Kartal gibi keskin gözleri olmak.
(3)Tavuskuşu: Güzelliği ile ünlüdür.
(4)Baykuş: Akıllı olduğuna inanılır.
(5)Doğan ve Şahin: Özellikle Doğanın çok hızlı olduğu söylenir. Türkiye bağlamında ilginç olan, "Anadol" ve "Murat" markalarından sonra verilen ilk araba isimlerdir: Doğan ve Şahin. Ama bu arabaların ne kadar hızlı olduğu muammadır.
(6)Karga: Biraz üçkağıtçıdır.
(7)Güvercin: Beyaz güvercin barışı temsil eder.
